Application Process

Home loan applications can often be very stressful without the guidance of an experienced mortgage broker. Below is a simplified step-by-step guide of the application process.

If you wish to talk to one of our brokers, they will arrange a time for a consultation to suit you, where they will assess your financial situation and get a better insight into your needs for a home loan. They will inform you in advance of all the necessary documentation to bring along, and after the meeting will go about submitting a loan application to your ideal lender.

Conditional Approval

Once your broke has lodged your application, it is up to the lender to approve or reject your loan. If approved, your loan will be of Conditional status and the lender may require a valuation report.

Formal Approval

Once all the requirements of the conditional approval have been met, your lender will contact you to let you know your loan has been formally approved. This generally only takes a couple of days.


The lender will send you (or your broker if preferred) a copy of your mortgage documents outlining the details of your loan to be reviewed, signed and returned to the lender within five days.


After your documents have been received by the lender, they will contact your broker to arrange a time for settlement. At this point, you will officially be granted your home loan.
